What the hell does that mean you might ask. Well I logged into Destiny at 4:30 am EDT this morning in preperation for my morning stream. Got my Warlock all set and ready to go and started streaming.

Boom new Rise of Iron content screen loads up right at 5 am…. awesome! Let’s go I say and head to the Tower. That’s when it started…. “Contacting Destiny Servers”

And the tapir shit hit the fan. what is a Tapir, well here is the explanation Google gave me

A tapir is a large, herbivorous mammal, similar in shape to a pig, with a short, prehensile snout. Tapirs inhabit jungle and forest regions of South America, Central America, and Southeastern Asia. Wikipedia

Needless to say it is an error that apparently means Destiny servers had too many people signing on at once and crashed. So they implement a queue (for those of us that don’t know that means stand in line bitch). Which I wait in and I go from 5,000 to 100 and get booted, now I am 25,000, then I get booted again and I end up north of 250,000.

I guess that answers the question, are there still people playing Destiny?

It is bitter sweet for me as I leave my console to get ready for work, unable to login to get my freak on with some SIVA riddled Fallen. Hopefully this doesn’t impact my ability to be ready for a World’s First Attempt the Wrath of the Machine Raid on Friday.

Stay Tuned, in the meantime this is how I feel as I get booted once again and I am now 300, 000 in line.
