Blizzard and NetEase renew work for their ninth year. The two companies began working together in 2008 with a license agreement to bring Blizzard’s StarCraft II and Battle.net® platform into China.
Through this collaboration these two companies have successfully launched many titles in the Chinese market, from StarCraft II to Blizzard’s popular FPS game Overwatch, and most recently the sixth expansion for World of Warcraft, Legion™. Their hard work over the years to achieve the goal of simultaneous release in all regions has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The renewal of this agreement is a testament to the success of the last eight years and sets itself up as a great foundation for future collaboration. This is also means great things for fans overseas who want to continue playing Blizzard games for years to come.
