There is no doubt that Nintendo managed to save itself with the release of Pokemon GO. The gaming world was all but ready for Nintendo to throw in the towel, however Nintendo clearly had a different plan. Is this the start of a new era for Nintendo? Maybe, then again maybe they just got damn lucky! Either way they are rolling in it right now, so let’s share the wealth!

The world has been swept up by “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” fever and the more savvy of us have started to capitalize on the newest mobile app sensation. The small time thinkers are making unofficial “companion” apps that supposedly help to find where the rarest Pokemon are popping up, or telling what the best combinations are to get the highest Combat Power, stuff like that. The big time thinkers are making apps/gadgets that capitalize on the whole “safety” concern that revolves around playing and walking/driving/any other form of human moving there is.

How much would this guy have benefited from having the Vufine HUD?

Thanks to the Noodle Boys for creating this amusing video!

Let’s just say that though this guy is a dumb ass, there have been documented cases of people walking into ponds, walls, cars, well just about everything. People get staring at their mobile device screen and forget that they are in the real world where shit can kill you! How do we fix this?

Introducing the Vufine heads up display unit. It is a gadget that attaches to your glasses or sun glasses and allows you to see any screen.

Real world applications are minimal at this point but with Pokemon GO download numbers breaking all kinds of records (reported 75 million downloads by Sensor Tower) and the US alone is seeing roughly 21 million users daily all of  a sudden there is a profitable market for just such a device.

The Vufine retails on their website for $199.99 per unit and comes in all kinds of colors (I am sure that red, blue and yellow are on the top of the list). The technology has all kinds of applications as it is not only compatible with Pokemon GO, but to the device itself, so you are able to see anything that is happening on your screen. The only downfall that I can see at this point is that there is a wire that will run from the HUD to your mobile device.

Radio Press Gaming is going to try to get their hands on one and give it a GO!

What do you guys think about having real life picture in picture?
