So I have been sitting here pondering the things I should be looking at next week. EGLX is in 10 days in Toronto, ON and I am super pumped!

The list of exhibitors, cosplayers, pro games and developers attending is very impressive, not to mention the charities that EGLX is supporting. It all has me befuddled with how I am going to cover all of them on my own.. I suppose that bringing another staff member with me would solve some of that problem, but seeing as that isn’t an option this time around I will have to choose my path through EGLX carefully!

EGLX Charities

I believe I am going to start with attending the show and walking around on Friday afternoon. I am hoping that I get there ahead of the mad rush so that I may speak to a few of the exhibitors. There is the ESL Hearthstone Cavern that I plan on spending a few minutes in. They are promising big things for this exhibit and I for one am excited to see what they put together. Game without Pain has grabbed my attention as they serve to help the serious eAthlete to prepare their body for the unique stresses that your body could go through while competing at high levels. World Gaming which is the Canadian version of MLG. There are a few known retail suppliers there as well like Gunnar and MSi. A host of comic book and gaming stores all of which boast a unique take on their genre and a collection of many other gaming related retailers, suppliers and schools to look at. I wont get to them all but I will be tweeting out the ones I do hit!

Then I am going to hit the seminars. “Becoming a pro gamer” will be the first one that I attend, hosted by Kaypea, Heisendong and Mad_max. I will likely stick around for “How to build a stream” seminar hosted by Mark Korsak of Clash Tournaments. I will be reporting back on those in the days after EGLX, but watch for the snippets I will be able to get out on Twitter while there.

I can’t wait to hit the Cosplay circuit. Meg Turney is going to be there and she has some fantastic roles that she has put together in the past. Just to name a few more, Leon Chiro, Kudrel, Azzyland (all three along with Meg will be the judges this year), Mrs Violence, Zombie Bit Me, Yume, Kitsurie and Dex Morgan will all be in attendance. I am sure there will be a few amatuer cosplayers there as well… I will try and get as many pictures as I can to share with you!

Tournaments

Let’s not forget the Tournaments. Now RPG was trying to put a team together to compete in this years BO3 tournament, unfortunately one of our key teammates won’t be available, but keep your eyes open for the reveal of Team RPG.

EGLX on the other hand has a full slate of eSports planned, we will try and keep you up to date on the happenings around the Tournaments, but I cannot promise it will be comprehensive. Keep an eye on the EGLX website for the tournament results and news.

Be sure to keep an eye on all of our social media for the latest and greatest on what’s happening at EGLX Toronto!
