Twofold Inc. – Little App Review
Twofold Inc. is one of those games that keeps you coming back for more while at the same time making you question every single move you make.
Twofold Inc. is not by any means an easy game. Picking up the game however is extremely easy and the mechanics will prove to be easy to master. At $3.99 Twofold Inc. is completely worth a try. If you are familiar with rymdkapsel, than you already know that Martin Jonasson has a knack for compelling games. The time I have spent with Twofold Inc. has been to say the least, extensive. Every spare moment I have, I find myself picking up my phone and playing this game. I have this undying need to improve and crush my previous scores.
The visual design behind this game is crisp and slick. The first time you start the game, you will be greeted with a quick tutorial that goes over the basics of playing the game. What you pick up from repeated play of the game will prove much more valuable in the end but the tutorial should have you comfortable at a minimum to jump in. Unlike many games of the same genre, there is no time limit. There is no underlying punishment for the moves you make. That being said, the move limits that you have in regards to each request, will have you double and often triple checking each choice you make.
With each additional piece you add, your score for each move will increase by double the previous number. Two to four, four to eight, eight to 16 so on. You can see how this can lead to some insane combination totals. When you complete a request, you will be rewarded with an additional move for each remaining request.
There has been extra care taken in regards to the music production. The music as well as sound effects suit the game and the methodical nature present in Twofold Inc. For those who love the music represented in the game, the soundtrack is available for purchase.
Twofold Inc. has proven to be addictive as well as frustrating. The game makes sense on so many different levels and often continues to teach you something new with each play through. While the overall mechanics may prove to be a bit challenging, the game becomes easier and easier.
