If you don’t have a Bevy in your home, you will!
Have you ever been looking for that amazing picture you took a year ago and can’t remember where you saved it? Bevy by Lineage Labs will help to solve that problem. Not only will it allow you to setup automatic backups of your pictures (from any device with WiFi capabilities), it will also allow you the ability to share the device with whomever you like. Too good to be true you say! I thought so too, but then I got thinking about it. They have basically takes NAS (networked accessed storage) and simplified it for the general public. Brilliant!
The technology has been around for a long time, now that hi-speed internet is more common and public WiFi access points are popping up everywhere, (some cable companies even offer hi-speed WiFi access away from home) the ability to transfer your photos via WiFi has never been easier. Check out this initiative in New York City to provide free WiFi by a company called LinkNYC. Projects like this are not out of the ordinary anymore, they are becoming the norm. People almost need access to WiFi wherever they go now, the internet has become a part of our daily lives, we use it to conduct business, to figure out where we are going and to connect to friends and loved ones.
My point, we are ready for the digital photo album to actually become a reality. We have had versions of this in the past and we have even used social media outlets to help us share some of our memories. None of them have done it quite like this. Bevy is providing us with a private network in which to share our photos with friends an family. No more having to deal with ‘pokes’ or notifications that someone commented on your photo. With Bevy those whom you have decided to give access to can add, view and even copy the pictures you choose to put there. It is compatible with almost all current operating systems making device integration a breeze. Pictures are worth a thousand words they say, so watch the video.
